Our rates and professional tools
Rates
Our rates are in line with current market prices. We apply discounts or supplements on the basis of the simplicity/complexity or urgency of the job, and discounts for simple or large jobs (user manuals for example). By using Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools, we can offer our clients interesting discounts for repetitive parts of the text, or parts that can be partially or completely translated using these systems. By all means, send us the text you want to translate for a free, non-binding estimate.
Tools
We use a variety of assisted translation and word processing tools and can translate documents in many different formats including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, InDesign, XML, HTML and more.
Thanks to these tools, each segment of the text is saved in a translation memory. If the same or a similar segment is found in future translations, the translation memory automatically searches for identical or similar phrases that have already been translated, so the translator can use or edit them. These software tools have been specifically designed for professional translators, to consistently use the same terminology, while saving both time and money.
Our offices are also equipped with the latest communications and IT systems to provide an impeccable and timely service, whatever the job you want to entrust us with.
What you can do
You can help streamline and speed up the translation process, and the time required, in the following way:
- plan translation jobs ahead, and inform us in good time
- send the text by Email to: info@mbtraduzioni.ch
- if you do not have the text in electronic format, send the document/s by post to: mb traduzioni, Via della Pace 1b, 6600 Locarno (Switzerland)
- send us any old translations, similar texts translated in the past (both the original and the translation), glossaries your company uses, etc.
- keep the use of abbreviations or highly technical terms to a minimum, or provide us with a glossary of these terms, if possible
- designate a person of reference we can contact with any technical questions concerning the translation
- specify the date by which you need the translation
